Purcell Exports has been a global leader in livestock export for more than 70 years, gaining a reputation for delivering quality livestock sourced from trusted suppliers around the world.
Headquartered in Sydney, Australia and with affiliated offices in Dublin, Ireland and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, our export operations supply markets across the globe with livestock from some of the world’s most respected and regulated production areas in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, USA and numerous countries in South America.
Purcell traditionally sources livestock globally where production is surplus to domestic requirements and transports them by sea, air or land to markets where demand exceeds local production. We own or control critical and specialist infrastructures at various stages of the supply chain, allowing us the flexibility to take advantage of changes in market conditions and limiting our reliance on third parties.
Worldwide, Purcell has unrivaled relationships with farmers, agents and government offices with the ability to execute large and small contracts with private and public sector clients and is always looking to open new markets and create new opportunities.
The Purcell family have been exporting livestock worldwide for generations, initially started by Seamus Purcell and now continuing the tradition with his son Patrick, managing director of Purcell Exports. From humble begins in Ireland, Seamus Purcell started exporting cattle in 1951 and by the mid 1990’s he was the largest livestock exporter in the world. Since then Purcell has shipped over 4 million cattle and sheep from Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, USA , South America to countries in North Africa, The Middle East and China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia and Kazakhstan.
